Sue Fox

Selected works (2010 - 2015)

3 July 2015 to 22 July 2015

Walkabout:  Saturday 11 July 2015 at 11h00

Sue Fox is a practising architect who has always been interested in the visual. In a time of instant images, virtual reality and computerised likenesses, she is convinced that handmade works of art still have their place.

Her coming exhibition is imbued with meaning and memory and consists of etchings, monoprints and linocuts.  To her, the medium of printmaking is an excellent method to capture familiar images and objects, allowing for a manipulation of textures, light and shadow in a unique way. The selected works for her exhibition include work done over a period of five years from the series ‘Artefacts and Heirlooms’, ‘Dorpies Road Trip’ and ‘In Transit – Cityscapes’.

Sue’s works bear testimony of an artistic talent that is diverse and sensitive to form and atmosphere - an exhibition with instant appeal and highly pleasurable.
