Chanie Jonker and Jannie le Roux combine powers to present a delightful piano duet programme consisting of a duet Sonata by Mozart, then a collection of dances by Brahms, Moskowski, Liszt and finally Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin.

Chanie Jonker studied BMus at the University of Pretoria under guidance of Professor Joseph Stanford. Although her first love will remain classical music, she also enjoys working in the lighter genres of music. She has shared the stage with prominent South African artists, features annually at the arts festivals (Aardklop, KKNK, Vrystaat Kunstefees, WMF, Woordfees etc.) and undertakes countrywide tours. Chanie is involved as music director for stage productions (Gé Sing, Boyz R Back, RSG Gala-Konsert, Hermanus Fine Arts opening concert). She further operates her private teaching studio in Pretoria.
Jannie le Roux is a versatile teacher and pianist. He has collaborated with artists like Wessel van Wyk, Zanta Hofmeyr, Hanli Stapela, Magdalena de Vries, here in South Africa and Cho-Liang Lin and Cobus du Toit in the USA. He has performed as soloist with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, University of Pretoria Symphony, Unisa Music Foundation Symphony, Rand Symphony and Varna Philharmonic Orchestra (in Varna, Bulgaria). He completed his post-graduate studies in music at Rice University in Houston, Texas under Brian Connelly and at the University of Pretoria under the guidance of Joseph Stanford. He is currently on the staff at Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool and University of Pretoria.
