Potter of the Month

Roger Evans, the Association of Arts Pretoria's Potter of the Month, is a special person. He moved his own boundaries of not only being a legal scholar and law professor, but also to become a ceramic artist with quite a number of awards and prizes on his record.

He works in white and terra-cotta earthenware clay. He has a diverse style but prefers to work in blue and white in the majolica style, usually incorporating lustres or enamel in his work. His creations may be fired as many as five times. Indeed, looking at his work, one must admit the legal eagle is in high flight.
