The bust of Nefertiti - Ancient Egypt's most beaufiful woman

One of the most important surviving works of art from the Eighteenth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt, which spanned a period of approximately 350 years from 1550 to 1292 BCE, is the bust of Queen Nefertiti in the Northern Dome Room of the Neues Museum in Berlin.

In his lecture Prof. Duffey will not only discuss the context in which this bust was created but also give information on the excavation history, the aesthetic significance, and importance of this beautiful work of art for the development of the portrait bust in western art.
